About the Brand

What happened to your SILKYMIT / SILKYMIZ products?
Great news — they’re still here, just with a fresh new name! Our SILKYMIT and SILKYMIZ hair removers are now sold under the ALIDA brand (we changed the name to Alida in 2009!). The product is the same high quality you know and love — we simply rebranded to bring all our beauty tools together under one name. You can shop the full range here.

Where are ALIDA products made?
Our hair removal mitts are manufactured in Canada. Our stainless steel foot file is crafted from premium Japanese-etched steel.

Hair Removal Mitts (Legs)

How does the ALIDA Hair Remover Mitt work?
The mitt gently buffs away unwanted leg hair through friction, while simultaneously exfoliating the skin. No chemicals, no razors, no wax — just smooth, soft skin.

How often should I use the mitt?
Use once every 1–2 weeks to maintain smooth, hair-free skin. Using more frequently may cause skin irritation.

How long does each mitt last?
With proper care, each mitt lasts 10–12 uses. After each use, wipe with a damp cloth to remove particles and allow to dry fully before storing.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — the mitts are chemical-free and fragrance-free, making them suitable for sensitive skin. Always use gentle pressure and patch test if unsure.

Which pack size should I choose?
We offer 1 Pack (3 mitts), 2 Pack (6 mitts), 5 Pack (15 mitts), and 10 Pack (30 mitts). Larger packs offer the best value and are great for sharing.

How does the ALIDA Facial Hair Remover work?
The applicator uses silicon carbide crystal pads to gently buff away facial hair through light circular motion. It’s painless, wax-free, and suitable for delicate facial skin.

Is it safe to use on my face?
Yes — the lead-free crystal formula is specifically designed for facial skin. Always patch test first and avoid use around the eyes or on broken skin.
