Our Story

ALIDA has been creating premium at-home beauty tools since 2009, with roots that go back even further.

Our hair removal mitts first reached customers under the SILKYMIT and SILKYMIZ names, building a loyal following for their gentle, effective results. In 2009, we brought our beauty tools together under the ALIDA name. The product quality remained the same. Only the name changed.

Today, ALIDA creates chemical-free, wax-free beauty tools designed to make effective self-care simple, gentle, and accessible at home.

Hair removal does not need to mean harsh chemicals, hot wax, or constantly replacing disposable razors.

Our hair removal mitts are manufactured in Canada. The ALIDA Foot File is made with premium Japanese-etched steel and manufactured in Taiwan.

Our facial hair remover uses lead-free silicon carbide crystal pads designed to gently buff away facial hair through light circular motion. It is wax-free and designed for delicate facial skin.
